2012 Seward Spring Break up Event Schedule and Registration Information

     Friday March 16th
Seward Pirate Pub Stroll------Registration 4pm – 10pm @ Hotel Seward to register for prizes and get rules and sign a
        waiver/affidavit that states participants will drink responsibly and will not drive their vehicles. Designated drivers are encouraged, vans and
        cabs are available to parts of town free from 4:30pm – 12:00pm Friday and Saturday...free vans will run between the downtown from  Pickup
        and dropoff locations – Seward Ale House, Breeze Inn, Pit Bar. Pirate costumes welcome but not mandatory.
Wii Bowling -  5:00pm  &  7:00pm  Hotel Seward - walk in registration at Hotel Seward for bowling with prizes and fun
        Waiter/Server Competition - Hotel Seward - Contact Hotel Seward for details...walk in registration at Hotel Seward
Disco Roller Skating – 7pm -8:30pm AVTEC BUILDING by Seward Parks and Recreation Department – Pirate theme Costumes are
        welcome and encouraged!
2nd Annual Home Brew Competition – 7pm Seward Ale House….contact Seward Ale House to Register & information to enter
        your IPA beer to be judged.
Steak Night at the American Legion, with Karaoke – Cook your own steak on the grill, Karaoke @ 9:00 pm Great fun, great   
        food!
Live Music – Tony’s Bar & Yukon Bar

Saturday March 17th
Children’s Fish Printing – (FREE) 10am  Alaska Sea Life Center
Alaska Sea Life Center – Half price admission all day!
•        JACARA THERAPEUTIC SKIN CARE CLINIC AT BROWN AND HAWKINS ON MARCH 17 FROM 9:30 A.M. UNTIL 11:30 A.M
        COFFEE AN DOUGHNUTS WILL BE SERVED.  THE OWNER AND DEVELOPER OF THIS NEW SKIN CARE LINE,  DR RAMON            
        GONZALEZ WILL BE CONDUCTING THE CLINIC.  ATENDEES WILL BE ABLE TO TRY FIRST HAND THE PRODUCTS AND DISCUSS THEIR PERSONAL                               SKIN CARE NEEDS WITH DR. GONZALEZ.
Seward Mural Geo Cache Tour – Check out our beautiful murals throughout the city of Seward. We supply GPS locations of our
         murals,see how many you can find and take our challenge to find a certain item in one of them to enter for a prize. Family fun…bring you  
        GPS and do the mural challenge. See if you can find them all!
Craft fair – Check out our local arts and crafts at the Breeze Inn Hotel... Starting 11:30am   Contact Liz for booth space
Kenai Fjords National Park – Ranger led snow shoe hikeSCHEDULE CHANGE MOVED TO SUNDAY AM.
Pirate Costume contest – 1:30pm Liberty Theater Categories for (walk like a pirate) (talk like a pirate) (look like a pirate)
         with children and adult divisions. (donations for Seward Animal Shelter accepted for admission) Registration at 10am -12:30am (Hotel Seward)
Chili Cook OffReplaced with Fish & Chips eating contest at Terry's Fish and Chips....$20.00 entry..to support the Teen Youth Center            Register at Terry's 7:30 pm, competition starts 8pm....1st prize  kayak tour for 2 & 20% disc. cupon REI, 2nd Prize 50.00 Cash, 3rd Prize  1 hoodie

Taste of Seward – Enjoy some of Stewards local musicians playing music throughout the day in the Coffee Shops (Sea Bean Café)&

Sunday March 18th
Breakfast at the American Legion – Always a great way to start your Sunday! (donations accepted)
•        Kenai Fjords National Park – Ranger led snow shoe hike – Exit Glacier (Nature Center)  Kenai Fjords National Park &                               Adventure Sixty North LLC is offering 2 separate trips (free) for groups of ten people. Each person must register independently! Trip will be                   1.5hrs snow shoeing and 1.5 hr snow coach ride out and back to Exit Glacier.
        Email : Rick at ( adventure60north@gmail.com ) to reserve a free snow shoe adventure at Exit Glacier (Nature Center),
        Join Sunday mornings 2 ranger led snow shoe trips as first come first serve limited to 20persons total. Trips will depart 9am with 10 people and            at 12pm /noon with 10people.
        Note!  A signed Assumption of Risk  waiver is required to participate in this activity. (activity level : Moderate) Click here for copy)
        Snow shoes will be provide if you do not have your own. Boots & Poles are recommended! 
        Appropriate outer wear is required to participate in this wilderness activity for safety reasons. (Children under 16 must have parent or guardian            accompany them and sign a the Assumption of Risk and waiver for them.  ( Sorry no children under 12 please) We reserve the right to refuse any
       one should it be deemed that safety may be an issue.
